Today as the cadets participated in squad tactics for the first time, I got to wear my combat boots for the first time.  Yes, this job requires combat boots, yes your taxpayer dollars paid for mine.  Consider it a good investment. 

And barbed wire isn’t as scary as it looks.  After straddling lines of it, and tripling over the wires a few times I still survived with not a single scratch or rip in my levi’s.
