“I’ve got soul, but I’m not a soldier”
This photo was taken head on. Yes, that is the treeline behind him. Yes I shimmied up a pole, and climbed a rope to the top of the “Merrill’s Marauder.” Todays photos wern’t spectacular, but the fact that I went 60ft up in the air to take them has given me a newfound confidence and spirit of adventurism.
For “fun” me and two other pao interns decided to do the ropes course, which involves jumping off a log to a cargo net then doing a number of high ropes obstacles such as pulling yourself along wires, walking on ropes, swinging from cables for about 20 minutes. All while, again, 60 ft from the ground. By the time we got to the end and had to zipline down 60 ft I was so happy to maybe touch ground I jumped with a smile on my face. When the intern who stayed on the ground sends me the photos, I’ll be sure to put one up. My new nickname in the office is spidermonkey…

With all these things that I’ve done
All these things that I’ve done
If you can hold on”
